Overview:
Track3D now offers powerful path visualization features that help you ensure complete and accurate capture coverage of your project sites. This guide explains how to use two key features: Instant Path Visualization and Pre-Upload Path Check.
Instant Path Visualization:
Instant Path Visualization shows you exactly where you've walked during your video capture, displaying the path directly on your floor plan immediately after completion.
How to Use:
1. Complete your video walk capture as usual
2. After stopping the recording, the system will automatically display your path on the floor plan
3. The path appears as a highlighted line showing your exact route
4. Use pinch gestures to zoom in/out to examine specific areas
5. Look for any gaps in coverage that might need additional captures
Best Practices:
- Review the path while still on site to ensure complete coverage
- Pay attention to any system notifications about incomplete areas
- Verify that all critical areas are included in your path
- Use the zoom feature to check detailed areas carefully
Pre-Upload Path Check:
This feature allows you to review all your capture paths before uploading them to the server, helping you ensure quality and completeness of your data.
How to Access:
1. Go to your project's capture list
2. Select any completed capture
3. The system will display the associated path on the floor plan
Each capture shows:
- Complete walk path on the floor plan
- Capture timestamp
- Duration of capture
- Distance covered
- Any flagged areas or issues
Tips for Effective Use:
- Review paths before leaving the site when possible
- Use the offline capability to check paths in areas with poor connectivity
- Look for patterns in coverage to optimize future captures
- Document any areas that need re-capture
If you encounter issues:
- Ensure your app is updated to the latest version
- Check that your floor plans are properly loaded
- Verify that your device's GPS is enabled for accurate path tracking
- Contact support if path visualization isn't appearing properly
