The Voice Notes feature allows you to record audio observations while capturing construction site footage. This guide will help you understand how to create, manage, and access voice notes during and after your video walks.

1. Start your video walk capture as usual

2. Locate the microphone icon next to the capture stop button

3. Tap the microphone icon to begin recording your voice note

4. Speak clearly to record your observation

5. Tap the stop button to save the recording, or cancel to discard it

When you stop a voice note recording, the system will automatically:

- Save it with the timestamp as the title (e.g., "Voice Note captured at 2024-12-23 15:00:00")

- Set the type as "Voice Note"

- Create a transcription in the description

- Assign it to the capturer's email

- Voice notes are temporarily stored with the capture

- Notes become permanent only after the capture is uploaded

- If upload fails due to internet issues, you can retry the upload

- After upload, you can edit the note details on the web platform

- Look for the special voice note icon on the floor plan and once clicked on it you will see and edit icon.

- All standard note editing features are available

Before Upload

- Voice notes are tied to their associated video capture

- If you discard a video walk, all associated voice notes will also be discarded

- The system will warn you before discarding: "Discarding the capture will also discard the voice notes done during the session"

After Upload

- Voice notes appear on the floor plan with a distinct icon

- Notes are only visible after the capture is fully uploaded

- You can play the audio directly from the note interface

- Transcriptions are automatically generated for easy reference

- Voice notes can only be created during video walks

- The voice note type is only available during capture (not in manual note creation)

- Internet connection is required for final upload

- Voice notes cannot be manually added after capture

1. Speak clearly and concisely when recording

2. Ensure important voice notes are uploaded before leaving the site

3. Review transcriptions for accuracy

4. Edit notes as needed after upload for better organization

- Check your internet connection before uploading

- Ensure your app is updated to the latest version

- Try the retry option if save fails

- Contact support if voice notes aren't appearing after upload
