This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to link your project notes to Procore observations, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Submittals. This integration streamlines your workflow, ensuring efficient tracking and documentation across both platforms.
Before you can link notes to Procore, you must ensure that your project is successfully integrated.
Log into your account and select the desired project. Go to the "Project Details" page and then select the "Integrations" tab. Here, you can confirm if your project is successfully linked with Procore.
Once your project is linked with Procore, follow these steps to connect your notes:
Navigate to the specific level within your project where the note you wish to link is located.
Click on the "Notes List" feature for that level. This will display all notes associated with it.
From the displayed list, select the specific note that you want to link with a Procore observation, RFI, or Submittal.
Once the note is selected, you will see a Procore Icon displayed at the top of the note's interface.
Click on the Procore Icon.
A menu will appear with the following options:
Link New RFI
Link Existing RFI
Link New Observation
Link Existing Observation
Link New Submittal
Link Existing Submittal
Select the appropriate option based on your requirement
Creating a New Procore Item (Observation/RFI/Submittal):
If you select "Link New Observation," "Link New RFI," or "Link New Submittal":
A form will appear within the application. Fill out all the required details for your new observation, RFI, or submittal. Once all details are entered, click the "Create" button.
Upon successful creation, a new "Procore Tab" will appear beside the "Details" tab for that note.
Select the newly appeared "Procore Tab." Click on "View [Observation/RFI/Submittal] in Procore"
This action will redirect you directly to the Procore platform, where you can access and view the newly created and linked observation, RFI, or Submittal.
Linking an Existing Procore Item (Observation/RFI/Submittal):
If you select "Link Existing Observation," "Link Existing RFI," or "Link Existing Submittal"
A list of all available observations, RFIs, or Submittals from your linked Procore project will be displayed.
Select the specific existing observation, RFI, or Submittal that you wish to link to your note.
The selected Procore item will now be successfully linked with your note in the current platform.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly link observations, RFIs, and Submittals between Track3D and Procore, ensuring efficient tracking, communication, and documentation for your projects.
