Linking Track3D Notes In Autodesk Forma

Overview

The Track3D–Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) integration allows users to link Track3D Notes with Issues and RFIs in ACC. This enables teams to seamlessly manage, track, and reference notes directly within ACC, improving collaboration and issue resolution across project stakeholders.

Track3D already supports note integration with Procore. This enhancement extends similar capabilities to Autodesk Construction Cloud, allowing users to work within their preferred ecosystem without duplicating effort.

Key Benefits

  • Link Track3D notes directly with ACC Issues and RFIs

  • Centralized visibility of notes within Autodesk Construction Cloud

  • Improved coordination between field and office teams

  • Reduced manual data entry and duplication

  • More complete issue context with extended metadata support

Supported Parameters

When linking a Track3D note to an ACC Issue or RFI, the following fields are supported:

  1. ID

  2. Title

  3. Description

  4. Status

  5. Start Date

  6. Due Date

  7. Assigned To

  8. Watchers

  9. Location

  10. Type

  11. Attachments

Field availability may vary based on ACC project settings and user permissions.

How the Integration Works

  • Open or create a note in Track3D.

  • Select the option to link the note with ACC Issues or RFIs.

  • Choose the appropriate ACC project.

  • Select an existing issue/RFI or create a new one.

  • Map the required fields from Track3D to ACC.

  • Save the configuration to complete the link.

Once linked, the Track3D note and ACC Issue/RFI remain connected, allowing users to reference relevant details directly within Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Track3D provides broader and more detailed field support, including status, watchers, start dates, and extended metadata. This enables richer context and more effective issue tracking within ACC.
