The Compare BIM feature allows you to compare design models with reality captures to determine if construction is proceeding according to plan. This helps project teams quickly identify discrepancies, verify progress, and maintain accurate records with ease.
How to Use Compare Design:
Navigate to your desired project on the Track3D platform. This opens the Views page.
Select the floor level from the Hierarchy panel. You will enter the Design view of that floor.
Click on any capture point shown on the plan view. An image card appears with options such as Split Image and View Image. Click View Image to open the captured reality image.
At the top of the screen, find the dropdown menu and select the Compare BIM icon to load the BIM model.
To compare captures from different dates, click the calendar icon at the bottom of the screen.
The Capture Calendar appears, showing dots under dates where captures exist. Hovering over a date will show what type of capture was uploaded for that day.
Move around the reality image to inspect details. The BIM model aligns with your navigation, allowing precise side-by-side comparisons between reality and design.
Note: You can only navigate on the Reality side of the Compare view. Navigation from the Design side is not available.
Note: Clicking the lock icon in the center of the screen lets you move the reality and design views separately.
When finished, exit the Compare view by clicking the Close icon at the top right of the image view.
