Overview
Track3D lets you link notes to Procore Change Events directly from your project — so you can raise or update a Change Event without leaving Track3D. This works the same way as linking notes to Observations, RFIs, and Submittals, giving you one consistent workflow across all your Procore item types.
Once your project is linked with Procore, follow these steps to connect your notes.
Creating a New Change Event from a Note
Navigate to the specific level within your project where the note you wish to link is located.
Click on the "Notes" icon from the navigation panel for that level. This will display all notes associated with it.
Select the note you want to link, then click the "Procore" icon from the bottom corner. Click on "Inspection"
Select a template from the list of available Change Event templates for your linked Procore project.
If no templates are found, you'll see an empty state and won't be able to proceed until a template is available in Procore.
Fill in the fields pulled from the selected template. Fields appear in the same order as they do in Procore, and any mandatory fields, dropdowns, or specific formats (text, number, date, etc.) will match what's configured in your Procore template. Click "Save" to create the “Inspection”.
Once created, the inspection is generated in Procore for the linked project and automatically connected to your Track3D note.
Linking an Existing Change Event
Navigate to the specific level within your project where the note you wish to link is located.
Click on the "Notes" icon from the navigation panel for that level. Select the note you want to link to, then open the "Procore" tab.
Click "Link Existing Change Event."
A list of all available Change Events from your linked Procore project will be displayed. Select the Change Event you want to link to your note.
The selected Change Event will now be linked to your note in Track3D.
Viewing and Syncing Change Events
Once linked, the inspection details appear under the Procore tab inside the note details, with a "View in Procore" option to open it directly on the Procore platform.
Inspection details sync bi-directionally between Track3D and Procore — updates made on either platform are reflected on the other.
Note:
If a note, sheet, or project is deleted in Track3D: the link between the note and the Change Event is removed, but the inspection itself is not deleted from Procore.
If a inspection, template, or project is deleted in Procore: the link is removed, "View in Procore" is disabled, and you'll see the message "Details not found. This Change Event may have been deleted on Procore" in place of the Change Event details.
If you lose access to the project in Track3D or Procore: the Note and inspection linkage isn't affected. Other users with the right permissions can continue to update the note or the Change Event.
