Capturing with Low Battery on Insta360 Cameras

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Track3D allows users to capture high-quality 360° images and videos using Insta360 camera. Previously, the Track3D app restricted capture if the camera’s battery dropped below 20%, leading to disruptions in the field. With this update, users now have more flexibility while being properly informed of any potential risks.

When your Insta360 cameras have <20% battery, you will now see a warning, not a hard stop. Users can proceed with the capture after seeing the warning. No more blocking experience unless the camera is critically low or disconnected. All other behaviors like syncing, uploading, and processing remain unchanged.

Notes: This behavior only applies to insta360 cameras. The Track3D app continues to monitor connection and sync stability. Users are still encouraged to charge cameras before extended captures.
