Overview
Creating takeoff or progress assets individually can be time-consuming—especially for large structures where many elements share the same configuration.
With Bulk Creation Mode, you can:
Set your configuration once
Draw multiple assets continuously
Track real-time progress as you work
This helps you focus on drawing and analysis instead of repetitive data entry.
How It Works:
When you click Create Takeoff/Progress:
You set the configuration (category, stage, properties) once
You enter a persistent creation mode
You can draw multiple assets under the same configuration
A running total updates as you draw
Assets are saved only when you click Done
Bulk Creation of Assets:
Click Create Takeoff/Asset
Select your category and stage and select whether you would like to draw a line or polygon.
Configure required properties (length, height, etc.)
Draw Multiple Assets
Begin drawing assets on the structure. Continue drawing as many assets as needed
The system will retain your selected shape (line/polygon).Retain height and configuration settings
Track Progress in Real Time
View running totals for each stage while drawing. Totals update instantly as new assets are added. You can monitor coverage without exiting the workflow
Switch Configuration (If Needed)
Complete current configuration. Remove created assets if you need to change category/stage. Set a new configuration and continue drawing
Save or Discard
Click Done/Create → Saves all assets created in the session. Click Cancel → Discards all unsaved assets
Key Behaviors to Know
After creating the first asset: Category and stage selection are disabled you get a pop up saying: “Please remove the created assets to select another category/stage”
The system remembers your selected drawing type:
Polygon stays polygon
Line stays line
You must manually switch shapes if needed
First asset uses default height
Each new asset uses the last entered height
You can modify height anytime
For L × H → Area stages:
Length, Height, and Area are shown
For stages like piping: Line → shows Length only
Polygon → shows Height only
You can filter assets by: Active; Inactive; Both
Best Practices
Use bulk creation for repetitive elements (e.g., walls, piping, structural components)
Monitor running totals to ensure complete coverage
Double-check configuration before drawing to avoid rework
Use filters to manage visibility of assets
Bulk Delete for Assets:
Overview
You can now delete multiple assets at once in the progress view.
Previously, assets had to be deleted one by one. With Bulk Delete, you can quickly clear incorrectly plotting assets before re-importing or correcting them.
When to Use Bulk Delete
Clearing large volumes of incorrect assets
Preparing for re-import
Cleaning up duplicate plotted elements
Resetting part of a structure
Note: This feature applies only to assets.
How Bulk Delete Works
You can select multiple assets.
You can delete them in one action.
Lasso tool selection is supported.
Progress of asset behavior remains unchanged.
How to Bulk Delete Assets
Method 1: Manual multi-selection
Open the progress view.
Select multiple takeoff assets individually.
Click Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
All selected assets will be deleted.
Method 2: Using the Lasso Tool
Open the progress view.
Activate the Lasso tool.
Draw around the assets you want to select.
Click Delete.
Confirm the action.
Note: This works only in progress view. Progress asset selection behavior remains unchanged. Deletion is permanent.
