Linking Progress Assets to Takeoff Assets

Overview

The Asset Linking feature allows users to establish relationships between Progress Assets and Takeoff Assets directly within the floorplan.

Previously, progress assets and takeoff assets existed independently, making it difficult to measure actual progress against planned scope. With this feature, users can now link related assets together to improve visibility, coordination, and tracking.

A single Takeoff Asset can be linked to multiple Progress Assets, while each Progress Asset can only be linked to one Takeoff Asset.

Once linked:

  • Both assets display linked asset identifiers in their detail panels

  • Users can quickly navigate between linked assets

  • Teams gain better visibility into planned vs. completed work

Benefits of Asset Linking

  • Improve visibility into progress against planned takeoffs

  • Simplify progress tracking workflows

  • Reduce manual coordination between field and office teams

  • Enable faster navigation between related assets

  • Maintain clear asset relationships across project stages

  • Linking and delinking assets is restricted to users with- Asset Management Permission. Users without this permission can view linked assets but cannot modify links.

Before linking assets, please note the following rules:

  • One Takeoff Asset can link to multiple Progress Assets

  • One Progress Asset can link to only one Takeoff Asset

  • Progress assets already linked to another takeoff cannot be linked again unless delinked first
