Overview

The Daily Notes feature allows field teams to capture video and voice-based observations directly from the site, automatically converting them into structured, searchable documentation.

Instead of manually writing notes, users can simply record what they see, and Track3D AI will:

Transcribe the audio

Structure the content

Generate meaningful summaries

Compile all notes into a Daily Field Report

This helps teams move from manual documentation → real-time project intelligence with minimal effort.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As these notes are visible in the capture list, they will not be processed as video walks and not point clouds will be generated using these notes. The sole purpose of this feature is to have direct observations from the site.

How to Capture Daily Notes (Mobile App)

Launch the Track3D mobile app
Select your Project → Level
Tap the “Daily Note” button. The system enters location selection mode

Tap on the exact point on the floor plan .This links your note to a specific site location

Record Video + Voice

The camera opens. Record while speaking naturally, for example: “Duct installation is incomplete here. Sub-Contractor needs to finish this before Friday.” Stop recording

The system automatically creates a Daily Note with:

Video recording
Audio transcript
Location
Timestamp
User details

How to View Daily Notes (Web Platform)

Navigate to the Daily Notes section from the left navigation panel

By default, notes are shown for the latest date, and you can navigate previous dates by clicking on the calendar and choosing daily notes option. You can change the date using the calendar
