Overview

The Schedule section is a dedicated space within a project that allows users to upload, view, and manage project schedules. This ensures accurate progress deviation tracking, predictions, alerts, and trend calculations.

Permission Types

The following permissions are available under the General category:

  • View Schedule – Allows users to view uploaded schedules and their details

  • Manage Schedule – Allows users to upload, download, and manage schedules. Admins have both permissions by default.

Visibility Rules

  • Users with View Schedule or Manage Schedule permission can see the Schedule section

  • Only users with Manage Schedule permission can upload, download, and manage schedules

  • If a user loses schedule permission, the Schedule section will no longer be visible—even if they uploaded schedules earlier

  • Schedule section is not shown for Visual Documentation and TechOps projects

How to Upload a Schedule

  • Log in to the platform. Select the required project .Navigate to Schedule from the side panel

  • Click Upload Schedule.Select a single schedule file from your device.Confirm upload

Note:

  • Only one file at a time can be uploaded per user

  • Multiple users can upload schedules simultaneously

  • You can upload a new schedule even if a previous one is still processing

  • You can cancel an upload before it reaches 100%

Each uploaded schedule displays the following information:

  • Uploaded by – Name of the user who uploaded the file

  • Upload date – Date the schedule was uploaded

  • Status – Current state of the schedule

  • Changes from previous schedule (optional)

  • Current tag – Indicates the schedule currently in use

Schedule Upload Statuses Explained

  • Uploading – File upload is still in progress

  • Processing – Upload completed and file is under review

  • Success – Schedule is activated

  • Hover text: Activated on mmm‑dd‑yyyy, hh:mm

  • Failed – Schedule could not be processed

  • Hover shows failure reason added by support user

Downloading a Schedule

  • Users with Manage Schedule permission can download any previously uploaded schedule

  • Files can be downloaded in their original format, regardless of status

The system validates schedule data based on the following rules:

  • Schedule dates cannot be earlier than the project start date.Start date cannot be later than the end date. If validation fails, the schedule may be marked as Failed.

Common Failure Reasons

  • Schedule dates in some rows are before project start date.Start date is greater than end date for some rows.Invalid file format.Unable to process file

When a schedule is marked as Success:

  • Alerts are recalculated

  • Predictions are refreshed

  • Schedule trend lines are updated automatically

Frequent schedule uploads may increase backend load. The system is designed to handle this, but users are advised to upload schedules only when required.
