Using Progress Trends & Forecasting

Track3D allows you to compare planned progress, actual progress, and required progress for each stage of work. You can also forecast completion timelines, analyse installation rates, and calculate manpower requirements — all within the platform.

Forecasting & Predictions

Forecasts help users understand when a stage is likely to be completed based on:

  • Planned rates

  • Recent rates

  • Required rates

  • Average rates

If multiple stages are selected or if key data is missing, forecasting will not be displayed.

Viewing Stage Details

Go to the Progress Trends page and select the hierarchy level and stage you want to analyze.
Click on the stage name to open detailed progress insights.

You will see the following information:

  • Planned Installation Rate: Expected work rate based on scheduled dates.

  • Recent Installation Rate: Average rate over the last 4 weeks.

  • Required Installation Rate: The rate needed to finish on time.

  • Average Installation Rate: Average rate since the start of the project.

Each rate card includes:

  • Work rate per week

  • Estimated completion date

  • Ahead/behind schedule status

If takeoff quantities or schedule dates are not available, certain details may not be displayed such as required Manpower, recent rate.

Calculating Required Manpower

Click on the stage name to access the manpower calculation tool.

Enter the manpower used during the last capture period. Track3D will calculate how many people are required to meet the scheduled end date.

If schedule dates or takeoff values are missing, the system will not allow manpower calculation.

Viewing Progress Trend Charts

  • Planned progress (if schedule data is available)

  • Actual progress up to the latest capture

Forecasting is visible only when the prediction toggle is enabled.

Limitations & Notes:

  • Forecasts require takeoff values and scheduled dates.

  • Charts automatically switch between percentage view and absolute view based on your settings.

  • Predictions are only available for a single stage at a time.

  • Planned rate is selected by default.
